Long Beach 34, Bellmore JFK 10: Chris Parler had three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown, and also ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to propel Long Beach (3-1) over Bellmore JFk (1-3) in Conference II. Parler jumped an out-route intended for a wide receiver for an interception and broke four tackles before sprinting to the open field for a 60-yard touchdown return early in the first to put Long Beach ahead 6-2. Tyreek Bromley burst up the middle through a hole created by left tackle Tariq Cole and went untouched for 48 yards to put Long Beach 13-10 with five minutes left in the first half. Parler broke a 63-yard TD when he ran to the outside on a direct snap and went untouched up the sideline late in the third quarter. Cole led Long Beach with eight tackles while playing nose tackle, and Eric Zeppa had four tackles, including three for a loss of yards.
