HIGHLIGHTS
Commack 35, Longwood 14: Senior Matthew Recek had five catches and set career highs with 174 yards and three touchdowns to lead Commack (4-0) in Suffolk I. Recek caught TD passes of 65 and 25 yards from QB Rob Paccione. Recek's 29-yarder, a flag route thrown from Willy Monroy on a halfback toss pass, gave the Cougars a 21-7 lead with 2:13 left in the second quarter. Monroy also ran for 59 yards, had a touchdown reception, and returned an interception 21 yards for a TD to open the scoring in the first quarter. Paccione completed 9 of 14 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 40 yards. Defensive end Christian Costello had two sacks, middle linebacker Josh Valentin made 14 tackles and defensive tackle John Engberg had five tackles.
