HIGHLIGHTS
Central Islip 64, West Babylon 41: Kevin Mowatt rushed for 361 yards and five TDs on 26 carries to lead Central Islip (2-2) in Suffolk II. Mowatt had scoring runs of six, 10, 30, and 65 yards through the first three quarters, and then 10 seconds into the fourth quarter scored on a 75-yard run to make the score 50-18. Mowatt, who turned the corner on a power run and went untouched to the end zone on the play, was pulled from the game after that TD. "He was hitting the holes strong and his fullback Denzel Abolo did a great job blocking for him," said CI coach Joe Taormina. "Obviously it was a great day for Kevin. It was a career day for him." Mowatt helped break the game open in the third quarter after CI led 32-12 at halftime. After his 30-yard TD run early in the quarter made it 38-12, Mowatt made it 44-12 when broke three tackles and ran up the left side line for the 65-yard score. West Babylon is 1-3.
