Westhampton 31, Comsewogue 7: Steven Tagliavia completed 5 of 9 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns to lead Westhampton (2-2) in Suffolk III. Patrick Dean ran for 125 yards and a score, and Evan Gagne rushed for 106 yards. Tagliavia hit Tim Hoare on a flag route off play-action for a 19-yard touchdown to give the Hurricanes a 13-0 lead in the first quarter. Senior Max Pastor hit a school-record 48-yard field goal with 32 seconds left in the third quarter to give Westhampton a 24-0 lead. "He split the uprights, right down the middle," Hurricanes coach Bill Parry said of the kick. "It cleared the crossbar without a problem." With Westhampton up 21-0, linebacker Patrick Dean and safety Bryce Phillips stopped Comsewogue on a fourth-and-4 play inside the 5 to end the second quarter. Cornerback Zach Rignola and defensive end Kyle Ebrus each made eight tackles and Liam Culhane had a fumble recovery.
