Westbury 40, Herricks 6: Shalike Merchant ran for 264 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to lead Westbury (2-2) over Herricks (1-3) in Conference II. Merchant burst up the middle and broke two tackles for a 70-yard touchdown run on the second play of Westbury's opening drive. Jason Dorrielan, a safety, intercepted a pass on a third down play and ran 42 yards for a touchdown to put Westbury ahead 13-0 early in the second quarter. Kevin D'Haigi, an outside linebacker, jumped a flat-pattern and intercepted a pass intended for the Herricks running back and ran it 41 yards for a touchdown with about six minutes left in the first half. Max Jodesty, a middle linebacker, had 12 tackles for Westbury.
