Center Moriches 51, Mercy 30: With Mercy driving and down by seven with four minutes left in the fourth, Center Moriches defensive end Brian Gregory recovered a fumble to stop the threat in the Suffolk IV win. On the ensuing drive, Sam Cila scored an eight-yard touchdown to give the Red Devils (4-2) a 43-30 lead. Center Moriches held a 30-6 lead at halftime before Mercy stormed back to tie the game with 24 unanswered third quarter points. Chris Iannelli rushed for 189 yards on 26 carries and scored three touchdowns. Nakia Durham rushed for 35 yards on five carries and caught three passes for 48 yards. Justin Wilson led Center Moriches with 12 tackles. Mercy is 3-3.
