East Meadow 49, Valley Stream Central 26: Senior running back Nick Suchocki carried nine times for a career-high 236 yards and three touchdowns for East Meadow (1-2) in Nassau I football. Suchocki's third score, a 5-yard run on East Meadow's first drive of the second half, gave the Jets a 35-6 lead with about nine minutes left in the third quarter. Nick Conti had 176 yards on 12 carriers, while Bobby Bender, Jonny Keicher and John Wilson each had rushing touchdowns. Eric Gershoff went 7-for-7 on extra point attempts and Brian Kavanagh had two interceptions in the win.
