Valley Stream South 15, Malverne 12: Valley Stream South (1-3) ran a 10-play touchdown drive starting with 1:37 left in the fourth quarter to come back from a 15-7 deficit to defeat Malverne in Nassau IV. Chinemerem Obichere made an interception for Valley Stream South to seal the game on the final play. Valley Stream South opened the game with a 16-play drive that covered 78 yards and took over 10 minutes, ending with a Johnny Reyes rushing touchdown. Malverne answered with a touchdown in the first. Then in the fourth quarter, Malverne scored to make it 12-7 before Valley Stream's final drive ended in a 10-yard Shane DeFreitas touchdown run. DeFreitis ran for 101 yards on nine attempts. Johnny Reyes had seven tackles and a sack. Malik Dorant rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, and he had eight tackles. Justin Cortez had five tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
