Island Trees 44, East Rockaway 7: Andrew Zabala returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown to put Island Trees ahead 21-0 with 11:48 left in the second quarter. Tom Gilmartin returned an interception 35 yards with 11 seconds left in the game to cap the Conference IV win. John Pascalli ran for 125 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns. Quarterback Brian Eletti threw for 105 yards and ran for 70 yards. Zabala and Eddie Sanchez both made 11 tackles for Island Trees (2-1).
