HIGHLIGHTS
Sewanhaka 14, Westbury 12; Going for two in the fourth quarter, Christian Tenorio threw a play-action pass to tight end Alex Cherry, who came up with it on a diving catch in the back of the endzone to give Sewanhaka (2-2) a 14-6 lead in its Nassau II game. The 2-point conversion came after Shaheim Taylor-White broke a couple tackles and spun out of another to sprint for a 15-yard touchdown. Westbury had a chance to tie the game on a 2-point conversion in the fourth failed, but drew a facemask penalty, earning a second try. Sewanhaka's Vladdimir Cange led the defense to stop the repeat attempt, preserving a 14-12 lead. Niko Rullo recovered Westbury's onside kick with 1:22 left in regulation to seal the win. Taylor-White rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 20 attempts. Hamza Akram and Cange each had 11 tackles to lead a Sewanhaka defense, which held its opposition to 93 total yards. Cange also had two sacks.
