Glen Cove 60, North Shore 25; Michael Payton capped a 10-play 88-yard second-quarter drive with a 28-yard touchdown run up the left side to put Glen Cove (3-1) ahead 20-19 in its Nassau III game. It was the first of seven unanswered touchdowns for Glen Cove. Payton rushed for 65 yards on five carries, but went 0-for-1 in the air. Tim Hogan followed Payton's score with three consecutive touchdowns -- 4, 4, and 3-yard rushes. He had four touchdowns on the day and rushed 93 yards on 14 carries. Will Beglin had 122 rushing yards and a touchdown on five carries to help Hogan lead the ground game. David Bull ran for 76 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Joey Grella rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Kicker Brian Shannon was 7-for-8 on PATs.
