Herricks 27, Valley Stream Central 18: Mike Saleme took a five-yard hitch route, broke two tackles and ran a 68-yard touchdown down the left side of the field to take a 21-18 lead with eight minutes remaining in Nassau I. Following a defensive stop, Chris Grau scored on a 1-yard run with four minutes remaining to cap off a 20-point fourth quarter and Saleme recorded his second interception in the following possession to seal the win. Grau was 18-of-28 passing for 207 yards and a touchdown and three interceptions. He also recorded 127 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Saleme had 171 yards on 11 receptions with a touchdown and two interceptions. Joe Carmody added 35 rushing yards and two scores.
