Plainview JFK 12, Hempstead 6: Nick Conti ran a drag pattern across the middle and caught an 8-yard pass from Kevin Pastier to give Plainview JFK (2-1) a 12-0 lead against Hempstead (1-2) in Conference I with six minutes left in the second quarter. Before the eight-play, 55-yard drive, Plainview JFK took over on its own 45-yard line after Ryan Schenk intercepted a pass. Pastier first put Plainview JFK on the scoreboard when he ran 11 yards on a quarterback boot play with about seven minutes left in the first. The play capped a six-play, 45-yard drive. Schenk, Kyle Coleman and Brian Cameron each had six tackles to lead Plainview JFK.
