HIGHLIGHTS

Sachem North 35, Sachem East 6: Trent Crossan, who missed seven games last year after he suffered a torn hamstring, ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns, including an 81-yard burst, to lead Sachem North in Suffolk I. Crottan, a senior, also tore his ACL early in the 2011 season. Sachem East opened the game with a failed onside kick attempt, which gave Sachem North the ball at the 50. Kevin Bragaglia ran 10 yards for a touchdown just two plays later at the 11:25 mark. Bragaglia shined again on the very next series when he got the ball back for Sachem North with his first of two interceptions. Crossan then went 40 yards to give Sachem North a 14-0 lead at 11:11. Kicker Bryan Morris established a new Long Island record for PATs, after his second successful extra point of the night broke Sean Moller's mark of 121. Moller played for East Islip from 2006-09. Morris went five-for-five on PATs and now has 125 in his career. Connor Farrell scored the only touchdown for Sachem East when he ran up the middle for a yard with 2:26 left in the first. Sachem East's Kenny Whigham ran for 22 yards and brought them to the 5, and Farrell finished the drive four plays later. Crossan broke a 26 yard run for a touchdown in the third quarter and capped off his day with he went untouched for 81 yards in the fourth. Justin Rivera had 10 tackles and Anthony DiMatteo had seven tackles and a sack for Sachem North.
