Whitman 17, Bay Shore 6: Tyrese Betts rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries to lead Whitman (1-2) in Suffolk I. Bay Shore's Devin Barnett scored on 66-yard touchdown from Matt Ilchuk on the third play of the game, before Betts answered with an 85-yard touchdown run with 19 seconds left in the first quarter. Will Villatoro added a 35 yard field goal with five minutes left in the second quarter to put Whitman ahead 10-6, and Betts scored with four minutes left in the third quarter on a six-yard touchdown. Joe Ward intercepted a Bay Shore pass with 1:39 left in the fourth quarter. Jordyn Guerrero and Matthew Havekotte also intercepted pass and Vinny Pastore made eight tackles for Whitman.
