Bayport-Blue Point 17, Hampton Bays 6: After a scoreless first half, Brendan Bateman threw two deep TD passes in a short span in the third quarter to propel Bayport-Blue Point (2-1) in Suffolk IV. Bateman hit Matthew McKinnon for a 50-yard TD pass with 9:16 left in the third, watched as his defense forced a turnover on the ensuing Hampton Bays possession, and then connected with Dan Percival on a 39-yard TD with 8:02 left in the quarter to make the score 14-0. McKinnon added a 27-yard field goal near the end of the third to give the Phantoms a 17-0 lead heading into the fourth. McKinnon had four catches for 85 yards, 10 solo tackles and a forced fumble and Percival had nine solo tackles and an interception. Hampton Bays is 1-2.
