HIGHLIGHTS
Bellmore JFK 17, South Side 0: John-Austin Emory ran for 131 yards and a touchdown on 28 attempts to lead Bellmore JFK (1-2) in Nassau II. Cornerback Tim Kutil intercepted a pass outside and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown to give the Cougars a 6-0 lead with 6:01 left in the second quarter. Kutil's 35-yard catch, on a deep corner route, set up Emory's 8-yard TD run off right tackle that stretched the lead to 14-0 with 5:39 left in the third quarter. Inside linebacker Tommy Ferner had 12 tackles and a pass deflection to lead the defensive shutout. Outside linebacker Matt Tenenbaum made nine tackles and Todd Yovino had a sack.
