Austin Yezaraski’s 95-yard kickoff for a touchdown to open the second half broke a 7-7 tie and sparked the host Panthers, who scored 28 unanswered points after the first quarter. Jake Buonaiuto rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Brett Osman rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries including a 44-yard touchdown that made it 21-7. It was the Suffolk 3 opener for both teams.
