East Rockaway 28, Malverne 20: After Amarie Reyes' 86-yard touchdown run with 2:01 remaining brought the game to within one possession, James Fusco recovered an onside kick and James Tierney converted on a 3rd and 1 to seal the victory for East Rockaway (2-0) in Nassau IV in the first "Battle of Ocean Avenue." Dan Fusco had 90 yards on seven carries and a touchdown and Tierney added 46 yards and a score on 10 carries. Tom Rogers had a 31-yard touchdown reception from Michael DelGais.
