Hewlett 47, Valley Stream South 12: Tredd Smith recovered a blocked punt in the end zone with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter to give Hewlett a 7-0 lead. Smith recovered a fumble in the end zone with seven minutes left in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs a 20-0 lead. Smith also had 11 tackles in the win. The Bulldog offense racked up over 400 yards rushing, including 129 from Jeffrey Rizzo and 133 from Jeremy Lewguillow. Messiah Clark made 10 tackles and had two sacks for Hewlett (1-1) in Nassau III.
