Deer Park 20, Harborfields 7: Jasawn Thompson had touchdown runs of 86, 75 and 91 yards and finished with 307 yards on 17 carries to lead Deer Park (2-0) over Harborfields (0-2) in Suffolk III. After Zach Lugo intercepted a pass at the 3-yard line on fourth down to protect Deer Park's 13-7 lead, Thompson broke a tackle, spun around a defender and outran the secondary for a 91-yard touchdown with two minutes left in the fourth to seal the win. He opened the scoring on a sweep to the outside for an 86-yard TD five minutes into the second and added a 75-yard TD later in the quarter behind an offensive line powered by Valter Piccini and John Bisono. Thomas Reed had four sacks and forced a fumble.
