Garden City 38, Manhasset 14: Halfback Brian Haeffner rushed 12 times for 122 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-14 win over Manhasset. Haeffner scored three times on the ground and added a 36-yard touchdown reception. Garden City quarterback Tim Schmelzinger completed 8 of 11 passes for 71 yards, including a 36-yard second quarter scoring toss to Haeffner for a 14-0 lead. Manhasset halfback Jack Miller had a 60-yard touchdown run on a sweep over the right side to cut the deficit to 14-7. After Haeffner increased the lead to 21-14 with a 3-yard scoring run, it was Miller's 53-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Ryan Damico that brought the Indians within 21-14 with 5:30 left in the half.
