HIGHLIGHTS
Eastport-South Manor 12, Westhampton 7: Jake Hobbie ran for 210 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries to lead No. 5 Eastport-South Manor (5-4) over No. 4 Westhampton in a Suffolk III quarterfinal. Hobbie's 80-yard TD run gave the Sharks a 12-6 lead with 7:45 remaining in the fourth. Eastport-South Manor earned the first playoff victory in program history, according to coach Bill Ashton. "This is such a great team and they were determined to get this done," said Ashton, in his first year as head coach. "The kids didn't want this season to end and they made sure it didn't. We're extremely proud of this accomplishment." Pat Minogue had nine tackles, three sacks, a pass deflection and blocked a punt in the fourth quarter. Dylan DeMassi had two sacks.
