Locust Valley 39, Cold Spring Harbor 7: John Pedranghelu ran for 230 yards and four touchdowns, all in the first half, to lead No. 2 Locust Valley (8-1) over No. 7 Cold Spring Harbor (6-3) in the first round of the Nassau IV playoffs. He cut up the middle and ran 84-yards for a touchdown with 6:35 left in the first quarter to open a 13-0 lead. His touchdown runs of 14 and 24 yards in the second quarter sent the Falcons into the half with a 33-0 advantage. Sam Porelli ran for 70 yards on nine carries for Locust Valley, which had 309 rushing yards in the first half. John Famiglietti made two fumble recoveries in the win. Thomas Talenti had two forced fumbles.
