Mepham 22, Jericho 33: In the 5,000 meter run, Rory Mattimore placed second overall in 17 minutes, 38.7 seconds to lead Mepham (4-1) to a first-place finish in a Nassau II tri-meet. Nicholas Liguori followed him in third place at 17:44.9, trailed directly by Ryan Garrison in fourth at 17:48.2 and Matthew Dworkin in fifth place at 18:35.2. Evan Korman took eighth place in 19:24.3 to seal the wins. For Jericho (1-3), Edison Li won the individual race in 16:33, Kenneth Qin ranked sixth in 18:43.5, James Lu was seventh in 18:48.2, Rayan Hasan came in ninth place at 19:38.8 and Stephen Fu rounded out the top 10 with a 19:43.1.
