South Side 48, Bethpage 49: In the 5,000 meter run, Nolan Hosey finished fourth in 17 minutes, 43.3 seconds to lead South Side (1-1) to a second-place finish in a Nassau III tri-meet. Dakota Jensen placed eighth with a 19:36.3. Brendan Murphy took 11th place in 20:25.4, followed directly by Patrick Curran in 12th at 20:26.5 and Eamon Ferrick in 13th at 20:27. For Bethpage (0-2), Craig Duszak ranked fifth overall with an 18:21.8, followed by Matthew Tusa in sixth with a 19:13.9 and Matthew An in seventh with a 19:14.9.
