Northport 79, Smithtown West 40: Senior and five-year varsity starter Danielle Pavinelli scored her 1000th point on a floater in the lane six minutes into the first quarter as part of a 13 point, seven assist effort to help Northport (11-0) clinch the league title in Suffolk III. Sophia Yearwood added 16 points for the Tigers. Pavinelli needed six points to reach the mark and became the sixth 1000-point scorer in the 40 year tenure of head coach Rich Castellano according to Castellano. Brianna Guglielmo scored 14 points for Smithtown West.
