HIGHLIGHTS
Upper Room 76, Portledge 34: Sophomore Meg Oberg scored a career high 32 points and had 16 rebounds, Itee Brown-Smikle had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Alissa Alston had nine points and 13 rebounds to lead Upper Room (5-0) in IPPSAL. "She was very efficient, she must have missed only a shot or two," Upper Room head coach Ted Oberg said. "She was shooting unconscious." It was the first victory for Upper Room over Portledge in five years, according to Oberg. "We imported really tough man-to-man defense and we really get into people's grills," he said. "We don't have any seniors and we're a very young team. It will be an interesting next four years and I think we can develop into one of the best teams on the Island."
