Mary McDonagh had a game-high 21 points, including four of her five 3-pointers in the first half, to guide Long Beach (2-1) in its 45-38 overtime win over Syosset in non-league. Gabriella Galasso's layup with under 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter tied it at 38. Lena Moriarty's 3-pointer with a minute left in overtime helped seal it for the Marines. Moriarty had six points.
