Half Hollow Hills East 49, Sachem North 38: Jess Womble scored 21 points and had five assists to lead No. 2 Half Hollow Hills East (20-2) over No. 10 Sachem North in the Suffolk Class AA quarterfinals. Alexa Wallace added nine points and 13 rebounds. Kennadie Hallum had 10 points for Sachem North. Half Hollow Hills East faces the winner of No. 11 Riverhead or No. 14 Brentwood in the semifinals on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m at Suffolk CCC-Selden. This is the first time that Half Hollow Hills East girls basketball has reached the semifinals in program history, according to coach Adam Cirnigliaro.
