Half Hollow Hills West 71, West Islip 47: Samantha Hinke had 38 points, and scored her 1,000th varsity point with 4:58 remaining in the third quarter on a layup assisted by Kayla Robertson, as Half Hollow Hills West (4-2) won in Suffolk IV. Hinke became the third player in program history to score 1,000 points, according to coach Bryan Dugan. "I am beyond impressed and proud of how well Samantha's played this season," Dugan said. "She's really becoming the main option, and taking that challenge and leading us. I'm extremely proud that I could be here for this and the player that she's become." Robertson added 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
