Bellport only had one team foul and kept fouling in the hope of forcing Deer Park to shoot free throws, but ran out of time. Deer Park was down 14 points with 5:32 remaining, but Julianna Knice (13 points) hit three straight three-pointers to bring Deer Park within five. Eventually, the Falcons would claw back and take the lead with under a minute thanks to Chambers.
