HIGHLIGHTS
Harborfields 35, Sayville 31: Christiana de Borja hit a driving layup with 48 seconds left and two free throws with six seconds left to seal the Suffolk V win for first-place Harborfields (9-1). Hallie Simkins banked a three-pointer at the end of the third quarter to give Harborfields a 31-18 lead. But Sayville (8-2) rallied with a 12-0 run and cut the lead to 31-30 with 1:06 left, before de Borja's efforts. She finished with 10 points as did teammate Falyn Dwyer. de Borja's layup came as the shot clock was about to expire to give the Tornadoes a 33-30 lead. Sarah Laterza (8 points) hit one of two free throws to make it 33-31 with 21 seconds remaining. Then de Borja was fouled and made both free throws with six seconds left to end the scoring. "I was never really worried," Harborfields coach Glenn Lavey said, "because I knew Christiana de Borja would make plays late in the game for us."
