HIGHLIGHTS
Ashleigh Sheerin scored her 1,000th varsity point on a first-quarter layup to lead North Shore (9-0) in Nassau A-IV. She had 13 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, while Gabrielle Zaffiro recorded 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. "It just shows her dedication and toughness," North Shore coach Keith Freund said of Sheerin's milestone. "She's someone who only cares about the team. It's a great accomplishment for a great kid, and she's a true pleasure to coach."
