Sewanhaka 61, Bellmore JFK 47: Senior center Casey Hayes scored her 1,000th point on a free throw with 3:30 left in the fourth quarter and finished with 28 points and 14 rebounds to lead Sewanhaka (9-4) in Nassau A-I. Hayes had 20 points in the second half. "Casey's improved her offensive game every year," coach Alexander Soupios said. "She can score a lot of different ways, on put-backs, on fast breaks, off screens. Everyone on the team had her back today. They all took part and shared in the excitement." Destiny Hurt added 19 points and five rebounds.
