HIGHLIGHTS

Copiague 70, Lindenhurst 62: Mikaiya Moore scored 32 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in Suffolk II. Anna Zaboroska scored six of her eight points in the final two minutes to erase a four-point Lindenhurst lead. Her pull-up jumper in the paint gave Copiague a 62-60 lead with 1:38 left. Emilyae Ward scored 15 points for Copiague (5-1). Lindenhurst's Alexis Perdue had 33 points and 15 rebounds, including her 1,000th career point. Perdue's three-point play with three minutes remaining gave Lindenhurst a 56-55 lead. The senior guard, bound for Daeman College, scored her milestone point on a layup in the first quarter, becoming the fourth player in the Lindenhurst girls basketball program to reach the milestone, and the first in 29 years, said coach Greg Flynn. "She has been so awesome while facing so much pressure, double and triple teams," Flynn said. "She is the target of everybody and still gets 25 points every time. She is one of the best players I've ever coached."
