Garden City 67, Glen Cove 65: Kerry McCarraher's jumper gave Garden City a 65-64 lead with 44 seconds left and Michaela Bruno hit a free throw with 12 seconds remaining as No. 2 Garden City (18-1) topped No. 7 Glen Cove in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Taylah Hudson scored 29 points for Glen Cove, including a layup that gave them a 65-64 lead with 1:11 remaining. The Trojans used a 13-0 run in the final three minutes of the third quarter to erase a 13-point deficit. Samantha Auricchio had 32 points and six rebounds to lead Garden City (18-1). McCarraher added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Becky Reifler had seven points and five rebounds. The Trojans face Wantagh at 8 p.m. Friday at SUNY-Old Westbury.
