St. Anthony's 58, Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) 57 (OT): Chanel Taylor's bounce pass to Jayla Jones-Pack led to the game-winning basket with five seconds remaining for St. Anthony's (5-0) in its overtime win over Riverdale Baptist during the National Title IX Holiday Invitational Conference & Classic at the D.C. Armory. in Washington, D.C. Jones-Pack's layup put the Friars on top by the game's final margin. "Coming out of a timeout, we ran one of our set plays, and we wanted Chanel to penetrate and draw the defense," St. Anthony's assistant coach Daryl Johnson said. "She did that, and when the defense collapsed, Chanel found Jayla wide open for a layup. We work on that same play in practice and it worked perfectly." Johnson called the non-league game a "see-saw battle", praising his team for persevering against USA Today's 24th ranked team "They're really tall, long and athletic at every position," Johnson said. "They were bigger than us, but we found a way." Jones-Pack finished with nine points, 12 rebounds and three steals. Taylor Goode had a game-high 19 points. Jasmine White had two points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
