Bellmore JFK 56, Sewanhaka 47: Rachel Nossen (6 steals, 5 rebounds) and Cameron Montalbano (6 rebounds) each had 19 points as visiting No. 13 Bellmore JFK scored 23 of the game's final 32 points and defeated No. 12 Sewanhaka, 56-47, in a Nassau Class A quarterfinals on Tuesday. Bellmore JFK (16-6), which had never been to a quarterfinal round in program history according to coach and alumna Mallory Palmieri, faces top-seeded Floral Park at 11 a.m. Saturday at Farmingdale State in the semifinals. Samirah Akinwunmi had 16 points and Nia Lariosa added four points, 10 rebounds and nine blocks for the defending Long Island Class A champ Sewanhaka (9-13) which led 38-33 with 1:37 left in the third quarter.
