East Islip 56, Sachem North 47: Jessica Peluso had 16 points and 16 rebounds and Sara Simonetti had 19 points, including five three-pointers, to lead No. 5 (17-4) over No. 12 Sachem North in a Suffolk AA first round game. This is the first time East Islip has advanced to the second round since 2004, according to coach Mike Petre. With the win East Islip also matched its combined win total from the last three seasons, Petre said.
