Ward Melville 74, Smithtown East 59: Gabe Brown scored 22 points and added 23 rebounds and seven blocks to lead Ward Melville (2-1) in non-league at the final round of the Smithtown East Tournament. Brandon Hart recorded 21 points, including five three pointers. After his mother's unfortunate passing earlier in the week, Kollin McDonald returned to the tournament and took home the MVP award. "He inspired us to win," coach Tom Femminella said.
