Deer Park 87, West Islip 48: Junior Malik Edmead scored his 1,000th varsity point on a three-pointer from the top of the key with 1:47 left in the second quarter to lead Deer Park (9-2) in Suffolk III. "I am super proud of him," Deer Park head coach John McCaffrey said. "This is his third year on varsity and he leads the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals. It wouldn't be possible without his teammates, including his backcourt mates D'Andre Edwards and Jordan Rios." Edwards added 17 points and Rios had 11.
