Southold 62, Pierson 60: Nick Eckhardt scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead three-pointer with two minutes left to give Southold (6-4) a 56-54 lead in Suffolk VII. Cole Brigham (11 points, six assists) made four free throws in the final minute to seal the win, Nick Grathwohl had 16 points and four assists and Steven Russell added 10 points,10 rebounds and four assists for Southold, which clinches a playoff berth for the second year in a row, according to coach Lucas Grigonis.
