Newfield 69, Islip 65: Chandler Giovinco converted a three-pointer off a pass from Colin Cassara to give Newfield its first lead of the game, and Cassarra went 7-for-7 from the free-throw line in overtime to lead Newfield (5-2) in a non-league game. Newfield trailed by as many as 17 in the third quarter. Giovinco also made a three-pointer to knot the score at 58 with nine seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. Cassara finished with 26 points. Devin Ward added 12 points and seven assists. Kyle Siemieniewicz tallied six points and 16 rebounds. Joe Juengerkes recorded 17 points for Islip.
