Lynbrook 80, Lawrence 49: Rylan Blondo scored 38 points, including his 1,000th varsity point, and had seven steals and four assists to lead Lynbrook (5-1) in Nassau A-IV. Blondo scored his 1,000th point on a layup when he drove up the court with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, according to coach Jamie Adams. "This is a special group of kids and the bench erupted," coach Adams said. "I called timeout right after he scored. They all went out there, and everybody sees who is as a player. They felt great for him, not only because of the great player he is, but who he is as a person. As a coach, when your best player is your hardest working guy, it makes coaching that much easier. It was a special moment for us, and and a special moment for our program." John Donaldson added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists. Keaton Goldsby recorded 21 points for Lawrence.
