MacArthur 54, Mepham 50: Christian DeVecchis made four free throws in the final 12 seconds of overtime to secure the win for MacArthur (2-0) in Nassau A-I. Hugh Kelleher scored off a lob with 1:04 remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the score at 43 and send the game into overtime. The Generals went up 48-46, after a three-pointer from Max Chmiel and two free throws by P.J. DeVecchis. Mepham's Mekhi Beckett made his own free throws, tying the score at 48 with 58.7 seconds left in OT. MacArthur's Dan Schwartz hit a layup to break the tie, making the score 50-48 with 34 seconds on the clock. Christian DeVecchis made two of his final four free throws to make the score 52-48. Beckett answered back with a layup with 7.1 seconds on the clock, making the score 52-50. Christian DeVecchis scored his final two free throws for the win.
