Kings Park 76, Bayport-Blue Point 73: Matt LaCascia and Liam Thompson hit the final three free throws in overtime to maintain the lead and earn the win for No. 4 Kings Park (17-4) over No. 5 Bayport-Blue Point in the first round of the Class A playoffs. Up by three points, LaCascia, with 25 seconds left in overtime, stole an inbound pass and saved it from going out of bounds. The Kingsmen called a timeout and on the next pass Thompson was fouled. After LaCascia was fouled making the score 76-70. Kings Park was down nine points headed into the fourth quarter. Zach Wolf hit a floater as time expired to tie the score at 61 and send the game into overtime. He recorded 25 points. Kings Park went seven for eight from the free throw line in overtime to take the lead and maintain. Overall, the Kingsmen went 19 for 22 at the line. Bayport went 31 for 41 at the line. Bayport's Zach Walker scored 25 points and Liam Doughtry's three-pointer at the overtime buzzer lead to the final score. Kings Park will face No. 1 Amityville on Tuesday.
