Locust Valley 45, Great Neck South 40: Frank Smith scored on a free throw with 1:13 remaining in the fourth to give Locust Valley (4-1) it's first lead of the game and he ended the scoring with two free throws to seal the win in the first round of the Great Neck South Holiday Tournament. Matt Reisiger (10 pts) hit a three at the two minute mark to tie the score at 40 for Locust Valley. After Smith scored the go-ahead basket, Thomas Eletto (15 pts) made his 11th rebound and converted a layup with eight seconds left to extend the lead by three. Ramell Phillips (4pts, 5 assts, 5 rebs) stole the ball on an inbound which lead to Smith's final two free throws.
