Stony Brook 50, Port Jefferson 47: After Stony Brook went on a 25-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarter, Port Jefferson's Kris Cheslock (23 points) sank a three with 18 seconds left and Brian Mark (15 points) sank a three with eight seconds left cutting Port Jefferson's deficit to two points, 49-47. Stony Brook's Mac Bohuny hit a free throw to make the score 50-47 with seconds left on the clock. Port Jefferson went for a three to tie the score but missed leading No. 2 Stony Brook (12-9) in the semifinals of the Suffolk C playoffs. Bohuny made 14 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter going 11 for 14 at the freethrow line. Jyles Etienne had a triple-double with 13 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks. Stony Brook will play No.1 Greenport on Feb 19. at Suffolk Community College in Selden.
