Long Island Lutheran 71, Grandview Prep (Boca Raton, FL) 40: Essam Mostafa had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Chris Coalmon scored 18 points to lead Long Island Lutheran (8-1) in the first round of the Holiday Basketball Classic of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. Grandview Prep, the reigning Florida Class AA state champions, came into the game on a 43-game winning streak. Donatas Kupsas had 13 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for Long Island Lutheran, which will face Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy in a semifinal Thursday at 6 p.m.
